Founder
Guru Matha
Mrs. Prasanna Sharma, the younger daughter of Smt. Nagavenamma and Sri Mahadeva Adiga, began her training in Bharatanatyam and Carnatic classical music in Hassan at the age of 4 under the guidance of Guru Smt. Alamelu. She also learned the Bhagavad Gita shlokas from her father.
Choosing her passion as her profession, Mrs. Prasanna Sharma, with the blessings of her Gurus, started teaching dance in 1975. With lakhs of students trained under her guidance, she went on to establish an institution named Sharma’s Madhuri Nritya Kalamandira in Bengaluru in 2003.
For nearly 22 years, the institution has been dedicated to the service of art, nurturing lakhs of students, and expanding with several branches across Bengaluru. The institution also has hundreds of skilled teachers who have been serving with devotion for many years.
